Bexhill Copice That

Last year we planted saplings in a small coppice in Collington woods. Weeds and brambles were now starting to smother them, so a working party spent a morning, helped by members of Marine training Corps - Bexhill/Sidley Cadets, to clear the area. ​

​Two weeks later a group carried out further maintenance work when shredded wood chips were laid around the saplings to encourage their growth and to help stop weeds spreading. The wood chips were kindly supplied by the local council.
