Bexhill Welcome New President

Our 2024/25 President, June Hough, invited members and friends to the official Handover ceremony in her garden. 

LP Pam Edwards thanked Club members for their support during her year. She said what a great honour it had been and that she had really enjoyed the experience and that all members should consider taking on the role at some point in their membership. Pam added that it had been a successful year in terms of FUNdraising, community engagement and increase in membership. 

Pam then passed the President's chain to June, who then handed the Vice President's chain Sue Saunders. 

LP June thanked Pam for her commitment during the past year, her motivation and engagement with members and her enthusiasm. On behalf of the club, June presented Pam with a beautiful engraved vase and a a bouquet of flowers. 

June commented " The Club has energetic members with great ideas for new FUNdraising and Community events to be held during the year. Being a Lion is very gratifying and we have fun organising and running exciting and memorable activities. Our members are local people who understand local needs. We are a friendly club that works hard and one that has a great varied social calendar. We love to make things happen. New members are the life blood of any club and I look forward to working alongside our recent joiners and welcoming new members to our club."
