East Grinstead Charter

On Sunday,13th October, East Grinstead Lions Club were delighted to welcome Town Mayor Steve Ody and the Mayoress to their Club’s Charter lunch; held at Chartham Park Golf Club.​

​This year's Charter celebrated the 56th birthday of the Club's formation back in 1968. Zone 105SE members from Bromley, Horley, Godstone, Oxted and Caterham Lions also attended, along with other long-time supporters of the Lions.​

EG Lion, Brian Richens, was presented with the Rob Holwell cup for the tireless dedication and service he gives to the Lions. ​

On a lighter note, the Mayor presented EG Lions Club secretary, Brendan Joyce, with a homemade medal which reads: 'For the man who puts the fear of God up the Mayor' as he never know what Brendan might ask him to do next! It was a lovely afternoon and enjoyed by all.​
