Lion Mike Williams of Maidstone Lions Club has recently been named Winner of the BBC 'Make a difference Awards' for his volunteer work in the community. He appeared in a BBC radio programme where he outlined his volunteer work which included Maidstone Lions as well as in Maidstone Hospital where he mans the confectionery trolley around the wards each Monday and clears the banks of part of the river Medway of litter in Waterinbury each week.
