Plants Sold to Fund Local Community Projects

The sun shone for the annual Bank Holiday Emsworth Horticultural Society Show which once again was a great success. Southbourne Lions played their part by providing a magnificant variety of healthy garden plants for sale to the public. ​

Funds collected support Lions community projects such as respite for young carers and support for families in need. Some of the plants, that were all perennials, were nurtured from small plugs by Southbourne Lions, others were grown from seedlings and cuttings from members gardens. All looked healthy and were very popular with the buying public who certainly bagged some bargains!  ​
