Support Us Lions Club Appeals Cycling for KSSAA Donate Fundraise I have been a Lion for over 15 years and this year I am the President of Adur East in zone 1B of the south-east district. Our district supports the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey and Sussex (KSS) but in all my years as a Lion I am not aware that I have done anything personally to fundraise for them. I would like to mark my presidential year by supporting this very worthwhile charity. My own club has made a donation of £500 to get the ball rolling. I am asking other Lions clubs in our district to also consider making a donation if they have not done so in recent years and I would also be delighted if any friends or family would like to do so. Another way to support me would be to join me on part of the ride. I plan to cycle to each zone in District 105SE starting on 5th September at the Lions 105SE Air Ambulance Open Day with KSS, Rochester. My initial plan is to cycle to each zone in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, touching on the towns of Maidstone, Tenterden, Uckfield, Sevenoaks, Bromley, Leatherhead, Cranleigh, Billinghurst and Littlehampton finishing in Shoreham at my own club. I hope to post a map of the route and exact timings nearer the event. However, I think I will need 1-2 days to get from zone to zone and would hope to meet some other club Presidents en route but maybe gathered in one place in the zone? Clubs could either bring along a presentation cheque to gain publicity for AAKSS and the Lions or make an online payment. I would also welcome other cyclists joining me for parts of the ride. My husband will be accompanying me in our motorhome so I will have somewhere to sleep each night. If you are reading this, I hope you feel able to support me by making a donation or cycling with me.
